What is Geo-Mentoring?

Geo-Mentoring has been active for six months and let's revisit our original vision from Fred Aminzadeh, current President of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (2007-2008), in his SEG TLE article in November 2007. 

"My vision of geo-mentoring is a program that would cover a large spectrum:  technical issues, career issues, and many other things, including how to become active in professional societies, how to decide a career path, how to define success for yourself, and how to reach that success."

I will be following this 'post' with a six month report card on our progress to date.  Please

Geo-Mentoring at Six Months

Hi, this is Geo-Chat reporting on our first 6 months of creating and using a 'blog' in one of our many new Geo-Mentoring initiatives at SEG. 

Looking forward to the next 6 months, I am launching our SEG Geo-Mentoring 'blog' from a new platform in Google.  This will be our second phase of online experiments testing your ideas for improvement.
